Ben Hardy was heartbroken when thieves hit his home over Thanksgiving. But what hurt most-- they stole an autographed Fender guitar given to his dying brother in the 1990s by the rock band Pearl Jam.

"It's not about the monetary value," Hardy told us on Dec. 8. "This guitar means more to my family than anything."

I can only imagine the heartbreak this family felt when the orginal guitar was stolen and the relief they feel when they received the unsolicited replacement.

jeremy, I seeded the original story on this incident. I knew Pearl Jam would step up! Eddie Veddar-all that as a human being. Class and then some!

Off the record- check out his concert-1992 Pink Pop Festival- YouTube- if you are a Pearl Jam fan?

I didn't know you seeded the orginal story. Nothing come up about it when I seeded this. I apologize if this is a double post.

I'm not a big fan of Pearl Jam, I do like some of their stuff though. I'll look for the concert.

jeremy-No you're good every story has a beginning and an end. I had the beginning and you had the end. Great story ! I love Pearl Jam...Look at his concerts in Seattle in 1991and then the Pink Pop Festival 1992- what a change- Eddie is lucky he kept it together at Pink Pop. IMO.

Angela-I love this concert-Pink Pop-'92- Eddie starts to lose it at the 2:00 mark-then the guitarist slides over and Eddie gives him 2 thumbs up. Then slams the rest of the song. Big difference from Seattle '91 stuff.

For all you Pearl Jam fans!.....Pink Pop '92.... IMO Eddie at his best. -Porch song just crazy !

Angela; This seemed more appropiate over here. BTW; I'm trying to write a JaHawaiian song. It's called 'I Got My Shake On" --no laughing---for reals... It's a mixture of Reggae and Hawaiian ( in honor of Marley and Bra Iz) and you can picture ( or just hear) the beats. It's up beat- (dance beat-with strong drums background). I used to meet a hula girl after her show and we would hit the club. ....memories. Work it out on that "uke" you got. There's more lyrics but I don't want them out here. A sample- "From Jamaica to Bali and the mountain Island of Maui. With our hands in the air, our feet in the sand, we got our Shake On. Just pieces here so you can see the songs direction. Everyone here is like WHAT...JaHawaiian?

Just wanted to brag about how flipping cool my mother in law is..

Wanna know what we got her for Christmas? Her first Pearl Jam Shirt. Thats right.. my 65+ Mother in law rocks out to Pearl Jam. Now, right next to her Simon and Garfunkel and the Doors CDs she has Temple of the dog, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, and Pearl Jam. I can't express how much I love this woman. She is quite possibly the most wonderful person on the planet.

Hallen: Rock on Mother-in-law. ( I love it) "Even tho I'm old I still got flows" Lol. Now we just need Eddie to sign it! Eddie you listening?? You are making me laugh. One time I'm was ref'ing a women's soccer match and Soundgarden was playing next door. I could see the stage as it was high in the air, music blasting. What a tough game to do(trying to keep my eyes on the field and players) I don't think I threw any cards that day. haha.

My ex and Mom were like best friends. Even my sisters adopted her. I had no choice in any of it and still don't to this day. It's good and as it should be. Nice to have relationships like that. Sounds like you had a great Christmas. Keep rocking girl!

Hallen- I don't know his music, but know his story. He was a Cali boy as well. You got me curious now? I'll listen to him and let you know. You must be West coast because you like West coast sound. As you can tell I like most music but have some I just like a lot more. I like a lot of underground music just below the surface stuff. Most don't want to sell out and with the freedom of tech they don't have too.

Even Eddie from north San Diego County !!! :P

I will. I didn't know you could look at group articles. I know he was So Cal and drowned in a river somewhere East coast. I spent some time South beach, Lauderdale. Nice area but way busy. I have a son lives 20 mins NW of Disney World. One of those lakes in that area. I agree with you- I love the ocean, beaches and music great combo.

Do you play music? I know you have a passion for music.
