CNN PRODUCER NOTE     roosterj says her husband had been deployed to Afghanistan since last January and received a curtailment to come home a month early. He surprised their son and daughter, ages 6 and 9, at church choir practice in Alexandria, Virginia. Just the day before, he was on the phone with his daughter. 'My daughter said she was baking me some Christmas cookies' and wished he'd be home to eat them. 'I had to play along and said, "You can always mail them to me in Afghanistan." She had no clue that I would be eating some of her cookies the very next day.' After the surprise reunion, he picked up some handbells and helped the children practice.
